Tips:
The answers to your most frequently asked questions:
• Why is this the hardest stain to clean?
This is due to the nature of the stain. Ink is designed to bind itself to paper, or in this case to your leather… In practice, it is very difficult to remove these types of stains completely. You need a steady hand and a lot of patience. In any case, watch the instructional video on Youtube.
• The best way to remove an ink stain:
Sit down in front of the line. We call the beginning of the stripe 'point A' and the end 'point B'.
- Soak a cotton swab in the liquid (careful, don't spill!).
- Place the swab on point A and move it slowly, along the length of the stripe, to point B.
- While doing this, turn the swab between your fingers towards you, in the opposite direction.
- When you have rotated the swab completely, you stop.
- You are probably not quite at the end yet, but it doesn't matter. If you look closely you can now see dye on the cotton swab.
- Turn the swab over and repeat with the clean side of the swab. Be careful not to touch the leather with the stains side of the swab.
- When you've turned both sides, throw the swab away and start over with a new one.
Is the stain still partially visable? Camouflage it with a Keralux® colour repair set (CRS)!
A CRS is a set that we prepare especially for you. The set includes a powerful cleaner and a colour lotion. With the colour lotion you can camouflage the remaining stain. Curious about this option? Click here for more information.
