General information
Below you can read four golden tips that apply to all furniture upholstery.
Pets
Pet nails damage your furniture. Scratches don't look good in new, or old furniture.
Even the best fabrics and the most robust leathers cannot withstand a "treatment" by our best friends.
Light
Light changes materials! In general: Sunlight, but also artificial light, fades the colour fabric and leather. Therefore don't let furniture be exposed to direct lighting. In this way accelerated fading is prevented.
Temperature
Too much heat is harmful to all upholstery. Foam fillings deteriorate in quality due to temperatures that are too high. That is why seating furniture should never be placed too close to heat sources. If there is no way around placing furniture in front of the radiator, make sure there is enough space between the floor, radiator and seating furniture, so that air can circulate properly.
Humidity
Too high humidity is not good for seating furniture, if the value is too low, the leather dries out. Wood can deform, foam can change, in short, it is important to ensure a healthy living environment for people, animals and furniture. For living rooms a humidity of 45-55% is recommended, the ideal temperature is between 18-21 degrees Celsius.
